The American Amputee Soccer Association (AASA) is proud to announce the appointment of two new Player Representatives to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025. Sydney Coblentz will represent the women’s players, while Keith Mann will represent the men’s players.
These appointments follow the impactful tenure of Nico Calabria, who served as the Player Representative for several years. Mr. Calabria has been elected as a Board Member at Large, ensuring his continued involvement and contributions to the organization.
AASA remains committed to fostering a strong and inclusive environment for all its players. By adding Sydney and Keith to the Board of Directors, the organization gains invaluable perspectives and insights, ensuring player voices are at the forefront of decision-making processes.
Sydney Coblentz shared her excitement about joining the board: “I am deeply honored to join the Board of Directors. I look forward to collaborating with this incredible team to further our mission of supporting amputee soccer. I hope to serve as a liaison between the women players and board members, fostering collaboration and ensuring all voices are heard. I am committed to championing inclusion, empowering women players, and helping shape a future where the sport can thrive for female athletes. Thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity.”
Keith Mann echoed this sentiment, saying: “I am thrilled and honored to have been selected by my teammates as one of two Player Representatives to join AASA’s Board of Directors. I look forward to working with Sydney to bring a broader player perspective to the inner workings of AASA as an organization, strengthening the relationships between players, staff, and the community as a whole.
I’m ready, with all of your help, to chart a future for AASA that is further committed to empowerment, support, and growing this game that we all love!”
With Sydney and Keith on board, AASA is excited to continue its mission of growing amputee soccer in the United States, empowering its athletes, and fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.
