Women’s amputee soccer is making waves, and history was written once again at the 2025 ADAPTandTHRIVE Invitational. Coaches Paige Palazzolo and Emily Maxwell of the U.S. Women’s Amputee Soccer Team got a chance to meet U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cone.

As one of the leading advocates for inclusion in soccer, Ms. Cone was eager to learn more about the rapid rise of women’s amputee soccer, including the U.S. team’s phenomenal second-place finish at the inaugural Women’s Amputee Soccer World Cup. The team’s success on the international stage is more than just a milestone; it is a testament to the passion, dedication, and resilience of these athletes.

With increasing support and recognition, the future of women’s amputee soccer looks brighter than ever. The journey is far from over, but one thing is clear—this is just the beginning. Stay tuned as the sport continues to break barriers and inspire a new generation of athletes.
