Women's World Cup Match: U.S.A. vs Ukraine



The U.S. Women’s National Amputee Soccer Team kicked off their historic campaign at the inaugural Women’s Amputee World Cup in stunning fashion, securing a commanding 4-0 victory over Ukraine. This marks a monumental moment for the team as they step onto the world stage for the first time, representing the United States in this groundbreaking event.


In a true display of teamwork, four different players found the back of the net, showcasing the depth and versatility of the squad. The match highlighted months of preparation, dedication, and perseverance that have gone into building this team, composed of athletes who have overcome incredible obstacles to make it to Colombia.


Head Coach Paige Palazzolo praised the team's performance, stating, “I couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and heart these women have shown. Every single player gave their all on the field today, and it’s amazing to see them make history in their first World Cup match.”
